Lt. Chris Coulter of the Beverly Hills Police Department revealed that Garcia had “medical complaints” following his arrest and was subsequently taken to a hospital for evaluation. However, Coulter did not provide further details regarding the nature of these complaints.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Beverly Hills Police Department shed more light on the incident, stating that they had initially responded to an “intoxicated person” call for service. During the investigation, Garcia was identified as the intoxicated individual in question.

According to the statement, Garcia, who was a registered guest at the hotel, caused damage to a guest room and the hallway, prompting hotel management to request his arrest for the property damage.

Lt. Andrew Myers, who provided the statement to USA TODAY Sports, stated that he was unaware of the total estimated damage or the exact description of Garcia’s actions. However, he confirmed that Garcia was issued a court date, and the case will be submitted to the district attorney’s office, which will decide whether to file formal charges.

This latest incident adds to the mounting legal troubles for Garcia, who is already facing a possible suspension after testing positive for banned substances the day before and the day of his April 20 fight against Devin Haney.
