Shortly after revealing on-air that her son had tied the knot with his bride Elise Smith, King took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the beautiful ceremony. The posts offered a candid look at the couple’s big day, from the rehearsal to the reception.
A Garden Wedding Fit for Royalty
In one Instagram post, King shared photos of the wedding ceremony itself, which was held in Winfrey’s picturesque garden. The bride, Elise Smith, looked radiant in a strapless Amsale gown, while the groom, William Bumpus Jr., donned a matching white suit jacket and slacks. The couple held hands as they exchanged vows beneath a stunning rose flower arch, with Smith’s father officiating the ceremony.
Another snap showed King, Bumpus Jr., and Winfrey posing together, with the three of them beaming with joy. King looked elegant in a blue one-shoulder Amsale dress, while Winfrey opted for a pale rose-colored gown.
A Celebration of Love and Family

According to King, the newlyweds will be continuing their celebration with friends, as the first ceremony had been “strictly for family.” Bumpus Jr. and Smith were planning on holding “a big dance party” for those who weren’t able to attend the intimate garden wedding at Winfrey’s house.
