In a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Guest DJ Campaign, Kate Hudson delighted fans by sharing her love for Taylor Swift’s music. The actress and singer, who recently released her debut album Glorious, revealed her favorite Taylor Swift album and song, offering a glimpse into her musical tastes.

Hudson’s connection with Swift’s music runs deep, as she expressed her adoration for the pop superstar, saying, “I absolutely adore her, and it’s hard to pick which Taylor Swift song, but I think I’m gonna go with one from 1989, which is one of my favorite albums of hers.”

Taylor Swift Favorites

The “Almost Famous” star’s affinity for Swift’s 1989 album is shared by her daughter Rani, who is “obsessed” with the album’s opening track, “Welcome to New York.” However, Hudson’s personal favorite from the album is the anthemic “Out of the Woods,” which she described as “killer.”

Hudson’s musical tastes extend beyond Swift, as she also raved about the new collaboration between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, “Purple Irises.” “I love this song. I love them. Gwen is just one of the great people in the world. I just have loved her forever,” Hudson gushed.

SiriusXM’s Star-Studded Campaign

The SiriusXM Guest DJ Campaign features a star-studded lineup of 70 different entertainers, including Hudson, James Corden, Howard Stern, Kevin Hart, Busy Philipps, and Rob Lowe. Corden, taking over the 90s on 9 channel, used his guest spot to chat about his iconic “Carpool Karaoke” episode with Mariah Carey.

“It was an amazing moment for me. It was amazing in a lot of ways because we got there, and I don’t think Mariah Carey had been told what she was doing or why she was doing it, given it was a show she didn’t know existed, hosted by someone she’d never heard of before,” Corden recalled. He shared how he looked at the director and said, “What are we going to do? This really does spoil the karaoke moment.” The director’s simple advice was, “Just get her there, man.” Corden revealed that playing Carey’s 1995 hit “You’ll Always Be My Baby” did the trick, as the singer immediately sang along.
