A woman was left fuming after spotting a supermarket top that unintentionally spells out a crude word.
Slogan T-shirts are a popular fashion choice – whether it’s a motivational quote or your favourite song lyrics, it can be a way to show off your personality.
However, one top is going viral for all the wrong reasons.
A woman called Brianna has taken to TikTok – under the username @wh0l3h3art3dly – and called out one of the T-shirts in the kids section of Walmart.
She writes in the caption of the video: “Frickin Walmart… strikes again… Walmart Canada on a child’s shirt… really?!?!”
Brianna shows a green T-shirt that has a large ‘RE’ capitalised, along with the words ‘Recycle’, ‘Reuse’, ‘Renew’ and ‘Rethink’.
Although the top is meant to promote being eco-conscious – people have noticed there’s an unintentional message when you look closely!
The TikToker asks viewers: “Where is the hidden word in this?”
People are taking to the comments and sharing their thoughts on the T-shirt, with one viewer writing: “Yeah someone needs to re-think the wording.”
Another adds: “Someone didn’t proof that well enough.”
“It took me a second and then I audibly gasped lmao,” comments a third.
Meanwhile, others are taking to the comments and defending the supermarket, saying it’s an honest mistake.
One TikToker says: “In my opinion, I don’t think the people who made that shirt realise that they did it, so really is no one’s fault.”
In agreement, another adds: “I think the design is flawed. However. I don’t think it was done with malicious intent.”
Hilariously, some TikTokers are saying the blunder has made them want the T-shirt even more.
One person writes: “I want it just because of that.”
“Not me running to buy it RIGHT NOW,” adds another.
When you closely examine the top, the expletive is clear as the first letter of each word vertically, without ‘RE’, spells out ‘c***’.
Brianna answers her own question by boldly uttering: “See you next Tuesday.”
Since the TikTok clip has gone viral, Walmart has announced that the T-shirt has been pulled from its stores.
A spokesperson for the retail giant tells Newsweek: “This was not intentional, and the T-shirt has been removed.”
In a statement to The Independent, Walmart adds: “The T-shirt has been removed, and for context, this item was only available in Canada.”
The infamous top is reportedly still available through other online retailers.
