Travis Kelce is staying tight-lipped about his culinary adventures with Taylor Swift. During a recent press conference, the Kansas City Chiefs player skillfully dodged a question about cooking with his girlfriend, leaving fans intrigued and wanting more.
“That’s a good question,” Kelce said with a sly smile. “I respect that question, but I’m going to keep that one to myself because I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her, so it’s something I’d rather just keep personal.” While he remained coy about the details, Kelce couldn’t resist adding a tantalizing tease: “Taylor makes a great pop-tart and cinnamon roll.”
Playful Banter and Fan Reactions
Kelce’s cheeky response sparked a flurry of reactions from fans in the comments, with one even requesting Swift to release a cookbook so they could bake her “yummy” recipes. The football player’s witty remarks only added to the intrigue surrounding his relationship with the pop superstar.
In April, Swift shared a glimpse into her life with Kelce on YouTube Shots, including snapshots of the couple cooking together. One video showed Kelce kissing Swift as she stirred a pot in the kitchen, while another captured her spreading whipped frosting on a batch of cinnamon rolls. The video’s caption, “For a Fortnight…” was a nod to the single from her latest album, _The Tortured Poets Department_.
Baking Her Way into the Team
Since going public with their romance in October 2023, Swift has found a unique way to connect with Kelce’s teammates – through her baking skills. Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed during an interview at the NFL Scouting Combine in February that the singer had baked homemade pop tarts for the offensive linemen.
“Kind of behind-the-scenes, she, to fit in – she didn’t even know she was doing this, I don’t think – she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop tarts,” Reid shared, highlighting Swift’s efforts to integrate herself into the team’s dynamic.
Staying Grounded Amid the Spotlight
Earlier this month, Travis Kelce spoke with ABC’s _Good Morning America_ about maintaining a level head amid his highly-publicized relationship and new career ventures. “When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect in life that much easier,” Kelce said.
“I’ve always been a very grounded guy,” he added. “It might not come off like that when I’m playing football, but off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road because you never know when opportunities are going to present themselves.”
